Framingham Baseball League (FBL) has reached a new partnership with the Framingham High School Baseball Program (FHS), which seeks to bring unity to the two programs.

“The future success of FHS Baseball is closely aligned with the success and development of players in the FBL program,” said Josh Misiph, President of Framingham Baseball League.  “We are very fortunate to have this close partnership with the high school program and are looking forward to exciting developmental opportunities for our young players.”

To kick off this partnership, FHS and FBL will be offering a 2-hour clinic on Sunday, March 31.  The clinic for boys and girls 5 – 8 years old will be from 9:00 – 11:00 am and 11:00 am – 1:00 pm for boys and girls 9 – 12 years old.  The clinic will cost $25 per player and registration can be found on www.framinghambaseball.org.  Each session will be limited to 50 players on a first come, first served basis and open to new players as well as kids already in the program.

“We are thrilled to have a working partnership with Framingham Baseball League and we look forward to working together to grow the game of baseball in Framingham,” said Paul Spear, Athletic Director at FHS.

This partnership coincides with the hiring of new Varsity Baseball Coach, Matthew Milano.  Milano said, “We are excited to partner with the Framingham Baseball League starting this spring.  It’s going to be a great opportunity to expose younger players in the community to our high school program as well as a chance for our current FHS players to mentor future Flyers.”

About Framingham Baseball League:
Framingham Baseball League strives to provide a safe, positive environment in which players can participate and thrive in an organized baseball league. We provide players with an initial introduction to and an ongoing development in baseball skills. Programs are typically run in the spring, summer, and fall and are a good mix of both developmental and competitive in nature.
Supported by Framingham Park & Recreation Department for the benefit of the boys, girls, and residents of Framingham. Framingham Baseball League is an all-volunteer organization committed to building an appreciation for the games of baseball and through quality coaching and parental involvement. We welcome your participation as a player, as a coach or as one of our many volunteers, as a financial contributor or team’s sponsor and as a fan.

About Framingham High School Athletics:
Framingham High School Athletics mission is to support our students as they represent our city in interscholastic athletics. It is our goal to develop their skills and passion for athletics so they will have a lifelong love of sport. Students will learn self-discipline and habits of mind that foster success in all areas of life. Athletes will serve through community service, accept a role on a team, and serve a purpose larger than themselves. Athletics teaches wellness. Athletes should learn good habits in the areas of nutrition and exercise. Likewise, athletes learn time management as well as how to balance competition and fatigue. Athletics teaches the growth mindset. Athletes get better through focused, purposeful practice. Skills and development of a team will be fostered through time dedicated to practice. Finally, athletics teaches fun. Every athlete should be playing because they love their sport. Every athletic event is an opportunity to create memories and lifelong friendships. We will not be outcome driven in determining the success of our teams. We will be driven by effort and it will be our effort, commitment to community service, wellness, and growth by which we judge ourselves.
