Effective January 1, 2018, Framingham Baseball will adopt the new "USABat" baseball bat standard that will be implemented by all major youth and amateur baseball organizations.  

Any bats used in our Majors, Minors, Single A, and Instructional divisions will be impacted by these changes.  These new bats will meet the following criteria:

• All bats that are non-BBCOR
• Bats that are lighter than a drop -3 ("Drop" is the difference between the bat's length and weight.  For example, a 31 inch, 20 ounce bat is a drop -11)

This change will not impact ourTed Williams or Babe Ruth divisions due to the fact that these leagues use BBCOR bats that are a drop -3 or less.  Bats used last season can still be used for these divisions in 2018.
